If I Could Present My Project Any Way I Want...

If I could present my project any way I want, I would use music. I would make a mix CD to go along with my paper. Any time I felt that I could connect some form of music to my project, I would play a little bit of it. Music is something that connects feelings and can relate to anything. Instead of choosing something that some people may not enjoy, I chose music. Everyone enjoys some type of music. Using different types of music would keep the audience interested and involved in my project. For example, Diet Pepsi is actually bad for your body, so I would play the 5th Symphony by Beethoven to begin my project. Hearing this song and knowing it is associate with something bad or scary, the audience would already be connected.

  1. I was wondering what other music you might use and why? But i do like this idea of using music!

  2. I can agree with you about this, it is true that everyone loves some type of music, and music has a way of setting a mood or bringing out a feeling. This of course, is very important in every piece of writing.

  3. This is a really cool idea. But, I am worried that since everyone has different opinions on music, how it would relate to what is in the essay. It would be really cool if you could figure it all out though!

  4. I appreciate your passion for music, but I disagree with this post though partly because I disagree with the notion of the initial hypothetical question. I think essays should stick to the essentials of writing and nothing more. Let a writer's words do the work and save music and other media for separate projects.

  5. I like the idea of using music to bring out the ideas and emotions of your paper. I feel that there is a lot you can do with music to add to your paper. I actually had a project one year to make a "soundtrack to my life" and we had to write stories and relate songs to them and I feel that in a way this is similar. I like how you can use the music to create a mood to your paper and help the audience really get into the paper.
